Hello all, I was just getting out some old books and looking online about vaccines to remind myself why my children are not vaccinated and see if there were any vaccines that I would want to give them, maybe at older than the recommended ages. My book said the DPT shot had formaldehyde in it and other vaccines had mercury,(www.vaccinationnews.com/DailyNews/July2001/AutismUniqueMercPoison.htm) I looked that info up online. Here's one of the pages I found. I 'm not looking to start any heated discussions :) I just want to encourage everyone to make conscious, educated decisions with vaccination. Things are often not as bad as they are made to sound and many of these diseases are most often mild and harmless anyway. LOVES! I'll make my next post more fun I promise! Toxins may lurk in vaccines

What’s in that vaccine? The Illinois Vaccine Awareness Coalition thinks you ought to know. So here is a partial list of some of the potentially toxic or contaminated ingredients in commonly used vaccines.

DPT—diptheria, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus—SmithKline Beecham: aluminum phosphate, formaldehyde, ammonium sulfate, washed sheep red blood cells, sodium chloride, thimerosal (mercury)—linked to autism—and pig pancreatic hydrolsate of casein.

Lederle DPT—formaldehyde, thimerosal, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum phosphate, polysorbate 80 and gelatin.

MMR—measles, mumps and rubella, live virus vaccine, Merck & Co., Inc.—sorbitol, neomycin, hydrolized gelatin, human diploid cells (from aborted human fetal tissue).

IPOL—inactivated polio vaccine, Connought Laboratories—three types of polio virus, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol (antifreeze), neomycin, streptomycin, polymixin B and monkey kidney cells.

Hepatitis B—SmithKline Beecham—aluminum hydroxide, thimerosal (mercury) and yeast.

Chickenpox—Merck & Co., Inc.—sucrose, phosphate, glutamate, processed gelatin, human diploid cells (from fetal tissue)

Polio vaccine, live oral trivalent—Lederle Laboratories—three types of attenuated polio viruses, streptomycin, neomycin, calf serum, sorbitol and monkey kidney cell culture.

You must decide if you want these substances injected into your children.
