what makes me cool :)
I was pondering yesterday on what I love/ think is cool about myself. (Who knows how I got on THAT train of thought!) I hope that reading this makes you ponder the same thing! :)
The things I thought of are also some of the things that are the most fulfilling for me. It gave me this little inner motivation to spend more time with the things that feel fulfilling, that give me the deep, inner core Amber expressed feeling.
I think it's really cool that I homeschool my children. I love that I do that. I love the time with my kids, and I love the freedom it provides. I also love that I don't pressure myself with the need for it to be a daily, set time event. It can be however structured, or unstructured I feel, it can stick with the curriculum or it can be just a random, spontaneous learning moment.
I love that I love the piano. I don't love that I PLAY the piano, I love that I love it. I feel super fulfilled whenever I get to emotionally play the piano. This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it feels like it touches such a deep part of me....a familiar part that it has touched and nurtured since I was a teenager.
I think it's pretty cool that I write music--and it would be even MORE cool if I would do some more with it. :) This thought yesterday brought up the memory of how super fulfilling it is for me to write, and made me wonder why I don't make the time for it more.
SO, last night I pulled out my finished songs, in progress songs, and my words on a page with no music and started a new song. Yea! I really like it so far too--but I think the other words on the same page will have to end up as probably 3 songs rather than one. Now I need to figure out where this one is going.
This will have to be one of my goals for this year for sure.....to make writing music a priority--for the fun, love, and fulfillment of it. :)
What do you wish you spent more time doing?

Let me tell you why you don't "make the time for it more"---YOU HAVE 4 BOYS AGES 5 AND UNDER!! O.K. Glad I got that out.
You are one amazing girl.
The End.
Thanks Mom :) You're funny
These are cool things about you....I'm glad you were pondering this bc it probably doesn't happen often. I love hearing you talk about the piano and music. You express yourself so clearly. You were definitely meant to be a musician and a mom!
P.S. I completely related with your feelings about "emotionally" playing the piano! And also for ME it doesn't happen very often either--but love it when it does. And it is also gives me that very unique and wonderful "fulfilled" feeling when it happens. Like I have somehow communicated with Deity.
See? You got me thinking!!
xoxo
Thank you Mandy :) and Mom--that has to be the best possible description and I'm sure there is a lot of truth to it!
